The beach is beautiful again! Last weekend’s Kona low wreaked havoc on North Kehei on Maui with the surrounding beaches hit hard and left full of debris.
Arriving Tuesday, I missed the storm which only lasted Sunday into Monday. But the damages were clearly visible with road closures, muddy water, and damaged beaches.
Fortunately after 5 days, the muddy waters have somewhat cleared (although snorkeling is still a 3/10) and Wailea Beach was finally groomed overnight.
Maybe it was Santa Claus and his elves who finally cleaned and groomed the beach last night!
One thing you can’t complain about is the weather. Lots of sun with with a high around 83 and a low of 68!
