Why Here

We stayed on Wailea Beach on both trips, in December 2019 and again in December 2021. What makes it work is position rather than anything else: the lawn runs down to the sand, the coastal path passes the front of it, and Wailea Beach is a two-minute walk. You can be in the water before breakfast and back on the balcony with a coffee by the time anyone else is up.

The Room and the Pool

The rooms look out over the pool deck to the palms and the open water, and in the morning across the bay to Ulua and the mountains behind it. The pool runs straight out toward the sea and goes orange for a few minutes at the end of the day, which is the shot everyone stops for and it is worth stopping for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it on the beach?
Yes. The lawn runs down to Wailea Beach and the coastal path passes the front, so both the sand and the walk between the crescents start at the door.
What is the view?
West over the pool and the palms to the open water, and north across the bay to Ulua Beach with the West Maui mountains behind. The sunset is straight ahead.
